Creative Dialogues –
a Comenius Project on:
Storyline in Language Classes

Link to WebsiteA report and examples of the work and the outcome of a Sokrates project that was focussed on producing a trainer module for presenting the Storyline as an innovative method for the language classroom.

European teacher trainers, teachers, teacher trainees and experts in the field have been involved in a transnational dialogue about the Storyline Approach in order to exchange ideas and experiences.

We designed storylines as skilful modification for the language classroom, tried them out with teacher tandems in the project countries and evaluated their success.

The results were collected and offered in various workshops that were held in teacher training and in-service training institutions to introduce this teaching method.

The project partners shared their experience and generated discussion about the method with foreign language teachers from all over Europe.

After three years of research we can offer a resource pack including a CD-Rom for the teacher trainer

  • with the theoretical background underpinning the approach
  • experts’ voices
  • ideas and material to design workshops and seminars
  • different Storyline ideas for the English and German language classroom.

The CR-Rom is available for the workshop participants.
