This workshop
will explore the use of drama as a learning medium: using drama to
enhance and extend learning across many areas of the curriculum. It
will look at ways of creating extended story-dramas, bringing stories
to life, developing characters and exploring situations through drama.
Techniques and strategies available to teachers (for example, creating
dramatic tension, using children's expertise, teacher-in-role, hot-seating,
role-play and improvisation) will be introduced through the fictional
contexts of the Storyline approach.
