Janne Fausganger, a lecturer in the College of Education in Stavanger, has written a paper in this journal entitled ‘Storyline – with Mathematics inside or outside?’ She presented an outline of her paper at The Golden Circle seminar in Iceland in May and it was enthusiastically received by the participants. She gives very clear examples of the variety of ways in which Storyline can provide the context for the teaching of mathematics – either within the story or on the periphery.
